Unity 2
Audiometer
In accordance with Unity's modular concept, the Audiometer Module can be purchased and used separately. Unity 2 is a class 1 PC audiometer, provided with two channels and a wide range of functionality for speech and tone audiometry. Unity 2 uses the conventional frequency range of 125 -8.000 Hz for tone audiometry and of 8 - 16 kHz for high tone audiometry.
All conventional types of headphones for audiometry match with Unity 2. Telephonics TDH 39 headphones or alternatively Sennheiser HDA 200 headphones belong to the standard equipment of the system. HDA 200 headphones cover the total frequency range from 125 HZ to 16 kHz and are best suited for mobile use and changing test settings due to their sound proof caps.
Besides the whole range of conventional tests, Unity 2 also offers supra threshold tests like SISI, Stenger, Fowler, and Lüscher tests. Auditory fatigue can be measured with the Tone Decay (Cahart) test. Through its audio inputs, the Unity 2 audiometer can be connected either to a computer soundcard or to an external CD player and to two microphones. Speech audiometry is facilitated by an integrated Medial control. Almost all types of passive speakers can be attached to the inbuild 2x10 W free-field amplifier. Aadditionally there could be up to four powered speakers connected to the control unit. The inbuild speaker control enables to route the two output channels to each one of the six speakers separately to perform e.g. spatial testing.
More features: Talk forward/Talk back-function with monitor output. The Unity 2 audiometer is completely operational through your Windows PC. And, because Unity 2 software is compatible with NOAH 2, 3 and Connexx software, multiple data entry is no longer necessary.
